Developed by IFAW and Conserve.IO, and now supported in Europe by Greenov, Whale Alert is a free mobile app designed to help both recreational and professional mariners preventing ship strikes by reporting whale sightings and receiving real-time alerts.

Initially launched in North America, the app now includes key features for European users, such as:

> Integration of European marine protected areas
