 A Great Ocean Hackathon 2023

Thrilled to announce our continued commitment to driving positive change in ocean conservation! Greenov, actively engaged in projects SafeNav and LIFE – SeaDetect, has decided to renew its participation in the Ocean Hackathon 2023 by campus de la mer.

Building on our success in the 2022 edition, GREENOV embraced the challenge once again, collaborating with a stellar team including Romain JAN, Ludovic Mell from Greenov, Anna, and Abel from Sciences Po, Mickaël from ISEN, and Pierre from ENIB.

Harnessing the power of AI and trajectory optimization algorithms, our team showcased innovative solutions to mitigate ship-cetacean collisions. Our findings underscore the need to reshape our consumption and travel habits for meaningful impact, addressing issues like collisions, noise, and greenhouse gas emissions. To recognize environmentally conscious shipowners, we even proposed the creation of a label, complete with a logo crafted with the assistance of the fablab at IMT.

Big shoutout to the entire Hackathon organization and our coaches, especially Emeric and Sophie, for their invaluable support. Kudos to the team for their dedication and innovative spirit! Let’s continue making waves together for a sustainable future.

Tip & Shaft Event

We were delighted to attend the Tip & Shaft event for the first time, dedicated to Offshore Racing. Through engaging discussions and presentations, we witnessed the dynamism of this industry and the strong commitment of its stakeholders towards the protection and promotion of the maritime environment.

The topic of reducing collisions between cetaceans and ships sparked significant interest, underscoring its critical importance to the Offshore Racing players (teams, IMOCA Class, sponsors, suppliers). This only reinforces our determination to channel all our energy into finding innovative solutions within the scope of our two European projects: SEADETECT and Safe Nav.

Thank you to everyone we had the opportunity to meet:
